Michael Kornick graduated in 1982 from the Culinary Institute of America and went on to work with some of the most influential chefs and restaurant operators in the United States. These include Andrew Spahr at Metro in Chicago, rated the "Best New Restaurant in Chicago" in 1982 by Chicago Magazine and Barry Wine at New York's legendary, The Quilted Giraffe, rated 4 stars by the New York Times in 1984.
